Being a woman
Means I am in the cycle of the Earth’s rhythms
I am Summer
Spring
Winter
Autumn
I am the geese flying south
I am the snow and the
Tulips rising through the last shawl of white
I am a cavern;
Big enough even to engulf your fist,
Like rock-paper,
I wrap myself around you,
Tender your hardness with my softness.
I am the succulence of a mango
A steamy hot tamale – make your mouth burn sweet pain
The memory of my taste lingers on your lips
Dream dream the scent of me.
I am not what they tell you I am
Lies like a poker through the eye makes you blind
I am not your hip hop ho
And I sure as hell aint yo bitch
Just because I get in your face –
It’s only power in a woman you’re not strong enough to handle.
I am the paradox of life
I am the power of sex and the spirit that lies beyond sex
I am your mother and I am not your mother
And let’s be clear on one thing
I don’t have a single masculine trait
I am all woman
When I bend you over the table and take you from behind
I am all woman
I am completely feminine
When I am tough and aggressive
And when I smack your ass and make you call me Daddy
I am utterly female
Does that fuck you up?
You might just need to expand your concept of feminine.
