Poems I love

I am deeply moved by authentic creative expression — dance, art, music, poetry. Something true, made by another person, can reach a place nothing else can. These poems found their way into my hands at the right moment: they said what I couldn’t, or put words to a threshold I was crossing. I keep them here the way you’d keep letters that changed you. Each is credited to its poet. There are many more I love that I can’t share here, still under copyright, but I’ll name a few worth seeking out on your own.

This basket is half woven. I am gathering these poems the way you gather stones from a riverbed, turning each one over in my palm and keeping only the ones that hum. Some are already tucked inside; others wait at the water’s edge for me to reach them. When the basket is full enough to carry, I will set it down here and lift the cloth. Come back soon and see what the river gave.
